A POEM by MARINA CRUSTACEAN

Dr. Pigman, PhD

The story goes, he slept with a fire extinguisher.

“Is this guy crazy?”

But it’s different, when it comes. Glassy. Very sensitive.

Constrained pressure, nestled in the elbow.

A low-energy, reliable hump. More void opportunities.

Not beautiful. But it is what it is.

Marina Crustacean is trying very hard to become a mathematician. She has poetry forthcoming in manywor(l)ds, and was previously a
contributor of art and writing to the Lambda Literary Award-winning anthology, "2 Trans 2 Furious." She also does photography.
